Does really exist since 1996? In fact it's even older. We launched the first version of our online units converter in 1995. There was no JavaScript there and all conversions had to be done on server. The service was slow. A year later the technology allowed us to create an instant units conversion service that became the prototype of what you see now.

Did you know? There is only one temperature scale which goes backwards — lower value of degrees mean hotter temperature. It is the scale of Delisle.
Did you know? Fahrenheit based his temperature scale on the earlier one by Rømer. The zero point of the scale corresponds to the freezing point of solty water (brine).
Did you know? In Celsius temperature scale zero point is the freezing point of pure water and 100 degrees is the boiling temperature of pure water.
? This temperature is impossible in our Universe.
The temperature can't be below the absolute zero (0 kelvin).
