I just got one of those kiddie pools and it says that it is a 608 gallon capacity pool. Its 8' by 26". my problem is that i put it on a deck that is elevated and i want to know how to convert gallons to pounds in order to see what im dealing with in terms of weight/load issues. what is the weight of my pool filled up with 600 gallons?

Spence:

Fresh water weighs approximately 8.33 pounds per gallon (depends on temperature), so multiplied by 600 gallons, 4998 pounds.
