square foot to linear feet

Postby boyinblue » Sat Aug 16, 2008 3:58 am

Trying to figure:

4ft in length, 22 inches wide per slab.

Approximately 50-55 square foot per ton.

How many liear feet would that be per ton????

48x22=1056 sq inches per slab.
1056/144=7.33 sq. feet per slab.
50/7.33= 6.82 slabs per ton (say 7)

so lengthways, 7x4=28 linear feet
or sideways, (7x22)/12=12.83 linear feet (about 12'10'')
