How many yards do I need

I am wanting to make a sand volleyball court 29.6 x 59 ft with the sand 6 inches deep. How many yards of sand do I need?

Approximately 33 loose cubic yards.

59' * 29.6' * 0.5 / 27 = 32.34, rounded up to 33 cubic yards.

If you buy it by weight, you’ll need approximately 47 tons (based on an average weight of 2,850 per yard for clean, damp sand).
