given four sides (e.g., 79' x 139' x 115' x 115'), how do i obtain an estimate of property acreage?

1 acre = 43,560 sq ft.

Use geometry to calculate sq ft of the parcel ( = 13,413.50 sq ft)

13,413.5 divided by 43,560 sq ft = 0.3079 acre

3/10ths of an acre is pretty accurate description.
