Depends on the "dirt", which is a catch-all word.

Average topsoil weighs around 1600 lbs/loose yd^3 to 2300 lbs/bank yd^3 (in-situ). Damp earth can weigh 2700 lbs/loose yd^3 to 3400 lbs/bank yd^3

Density is dependent on composition, moisture content, compaction, etc.. You have to weigh a sample of known volume and convert to yd^3 to determine the weight of a specific soil.
