Does anybody know how to convert from degrees of the angle of a road to percentage (and the other way around) what you see on signs at a road in a hilly area?

Express the percent grade as a decimal frction, ie 7% grade is 0.07. Then the angle is simply the arctangent of this number, for a 0.07 grade, 4 degrees.
