I have to convert 11,900 square yards of dry sand to tons. Does anyone know how to do that?

Fisrst you have to convert sq yds to cu. yds by dividing the sq yds by 9. then multiply by 1.35 to get tons.

hope this helps! tonnage is affected by the moisture content of the sand.
