mg/kg to mg/lb

Postby netrox » Wed Mar 07, 2007 6:49 am

I am not sure if I get this right. Let's say that the lethal dose is 1.3 mg/kg. If I get the math right, it means that the lethal dose for 140lbs would be around 83 mg?

I just substituted 2.2 lb instead of kg, doubled up the mg/lb til I reached the 140 lbs and it's around 83 mg per 140lbs, right?

What's the formula for that? Thanks!

83 mg is right, yeah.

1 avoirdupois pound is 0.453 592 37 kg...

1.3 mg/kg ~ 0.59 mg/lb

140*0.453 592 37*1.3 ~ 82.55 mg
