Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

Grains to F°m3/kg

Looking to convert Grains of capacity from a water softener to units used in Italy. I am being ask to convert Grains to F°m3/kg. Any ideas?

Funny thing. I just bought a test kit for my fish tank that reports Hardness in German Degrees, when I'm used to PPM. So off I went in search of conversions...

I found that one Grain/US Gallon (17.8571 ppm) was was 0.958 German degrees

I also found that the French Degree (F°) is defined as 10 mg/ CaCO+3 per 1000 ml water, and that One Grain per US Gallon was equal to 1.71 French Degrees.
