Convertion of heat input?

Postby Happy » Wed Feb 15, 2006 11:01 am

Hi everybody!!

I have this info:

Heat Input = 375,000 Btu/hr or 94,500 Kcal/hr (Clothes LPG Dryer Machine)

Question:
a) How many Kg of LPG that i use per hour?

b) How to convert 1 liter to gallon

Thanx for your immediate reply.

Heat content of LPG varies with percentage of ethane, butane, and other impurities, but runs about 20,000 BTU/lb or 96,000 BTU/US gallon. So you are burning almost 18 lb/hr.

If you want metric, use those numbers, and then
1 lb = 0.4536 kg
1 US gallon = 3.7854 L
