mm, nanometres, and symbols for zeros

Postby jack101 » Fri Jan 27, 2006 7:26 pm

I want to convert half of 1 mm (0.5mm) into nano metres but I'm not very good at maths and I don't understand the strange symbols and stuff which subsitute all the zeros.

I think that half a mm is 5million (5,000,000) nano meters, but I'm not sure.

PS is the abreviation for nanometers nm?

Thanks for your help.
