Tablespoons of lead, or tablespoons of feathers? Knowing the weight of what is
in the tablespoon is the only way to tell.
The volume of a tablespoon is just about 15 ml (14.79 ml to be precise.) So, if you are refering to water, there would be about 15 grams per tablespoon, or about 120 grams for eight tablespoons (118.32 g, if you want precise,) because 1 ml of water weighs 1 gram.
To take things to extremes, If you are talking about lead, lead weighs 11.3 grams per ml, so you'd have 90.4 grams in eight tablespoons.
The factor of how much something weighs per unit volume is known as the specific gravity, and is usually measured in grams per cubic centimeter (which is equivalent to grams per ml.)
