Waterblasting/Pressure Washing Velocity Calculation

Postby nwilliams » Fri Jul 16, 2004 9:23 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it is possible to calculate the velocity of a sand/water mixture a distance, x, from the nozzle of a pressure washer. The information we have to work with is as follows;

pressure out of nozzle
velocity of mixture upon exiting nozzle
fluid flow rate coming out of nozzle

Any info. that anyone could give me would help me greatly. Thanks.
