How do I convert kg/m2 to MJ/m2 ?

Postby Leon Zeiler » Fri Nov 10, 2006 3:48 am

The maximum permisible fire load in a residential building is 25kg per sq. metre(timber equivalent). I need to convert this into a calorific value of MJ per sq. metre. I need to confirm if the conversion factor is 1.8 or 18. Can anybody help?

Hi Leon

The correct answer is 18. (All those hydraulic calcs of yours are WRONG!)
