It's already done for you.

cc (cubic centimeters) equals ml (milliliters), so 0.009 cc = 0.009 ml

Hi just remember 1000 G = 1000 mg

1000 mg = 1 g
1 Kg = 1000 g
1000 g = 1 kg
1 L = 1000 cc
1cc = 1 mL
1000mL = 1L
1000 mcg = 1 mg
1 mg = 1000 mcg

if you have to do from larger to smaller unit just do DIVISION
If you have to do from Larger to Smaller simply MULTIPLY.

Now you will be able to anwer the question you asked.

I hope this is helpfiul.

there's 1,000,000 milliliters in one kiloliter.
this means that the conversion factor for mL to kL is 1/1 000 000.

EXAMPLE.
say you have 7348 mL. multiply 7348 by 1/1 000 000.
7348 milliliters equals 7348/1 000 000 (or 0.007348) kiloliters.

square centimeters (cm2) measure area. Centimeters (cm) measure length. You can't convert area to length, these are different measurements.

The answer is in the question!

Postby Guest » Wed Jan 17, 2007 1:55 am

I'm stunned by the lack of brain power on this forum, is it some kind of joke!

It's amazing that the posters can even turn a computer on let alone (badly) compose questions in english!

If these questions are from kids doing homework then what hope has the future of our economies if it's in the hands of these thickoes!!!

Please do yourselves a favour and spend a little more time researching your own stuff and actually learning instead of turning to the web for quick answers.

Good luck with the exam/homework...you're gonna need it!

You don't. ml and cm^3 (cc) are the same volume unit. 1 ml = 1 cc and vice versa.

The original definition of the gram was the mass of 1 cm³ of water at its maximum density (at 4 °C). This idea was carried over into the SI system so that the kilogram is the mass of 1000 cm³ of water, and this volume is defined as the liter, so that 1 liter of water has a mass of 1 kilogram.

Presumably the units of the density are kg/L, so

$5.02/L x 1 L/0.810 kg x 1 kg/1000 g = $0.00619753/g
5.4039 g would be $0.03349

The density of mercury is 13.5939 g/cm3. Calculate the mass in kilograms of a drum full of mercury with the following dimensions: height = 1.100 meters, diameter = 0.492 meters. Assume pi has a value of 3.14.

As the measurements are in meters, keep it that way. To convert the density of 13.5939 g/cm^3 to kg/m^3, multiply by 1000.

The formula for the volume of a cylinder is: PI * radius^2 * length

What is your answer?

Metric prefixes are pretty easy to understand and very handy for metric conversions. You don't have to know the nature of a unit to convert, for example, from kilo-unit to mega-unit. All metric prefixes are powers of 10. The most commonly used prefixes are highlighted in the table.

Prexis Symbol Factor
yotta Y 10to the24power = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
zetta Z 10to the21power = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
exa E 10to the18power = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000
peta P 10to the15power = 1,000,000,000,000,000
tera T 10to the12power = 1,000,000,000,000
giga G 10to the9power = 1,000,000,000
mega M 10to the6power = 1,000,000
kilo k 10to the3power = 1,000
hecto h 10to the2power = 100
deka da 10to the1power = 10
deci d 10to the-1power = 0.1
centi c 10-2 = 0.01
milli m 10-3 = 0.001
micro µ 10-6 = 0.000,001
nano n 10-9 = 0.000,000,001
pico p 10-12 = 0,000,000,000,001
femto f 10-15 = 0.000,000,000,000,001
atto a 10-18 = 0.000,000,000,000,000,001
zepto z 10-21 = 0.000,000,000,000,000,000,001
