Housing measurement conversion

Please help. I am trying to explain to someone the size of my home. My Plan says 42 housing squares. Or 390 metres (sqaure) I assume. How do I explain the size to an American in their measurement system.

A square for measuring house area seems to be unique to Australia, but it is 100 square feet. (We use it here as a unit for roofing.)

Anyway, 42 squares is 4200 ft². You can also get there by multiplying 390 m² x 10.7 ft²/m²,
or certainly many, vbut not all Americans would understand 390 m²

In measuring area, I have learned before that 1 square is converted to 100 square feet, or about 9.3 square meters. Then, if you try to convert 42 square, that is 4200 square feet, or approximately 390.6 square meters. There you go, you already have it!
