Please how can I calculate the cubic meter of the column.

You can convert before or after. I find it easier to do before:
0.2 m x 0.4 m x 4 m = (you do the math)


If you convert after, recognize
10^3 mm =1 m, therefore
10^9 mm^3 = 1 m^3
