A rough approximate weight is 1600 pounds per loose cubic yard (2300 pounds per bank cubic yard). It depends of the composition of the topsoil, the moisture content, etc.

Note the word "approximate". The above weight per cubic yard can vary considerably in the same geographical area.

If the weight per volume is important, you'll need obtain a sample of the specific material you're interested in and either weigh it yourself or take it to a soils lab for particle and dry weight analysis (recommended).
