Convert linear feet to circumference

I am going to put up a round pen to exercise my horse. I need to determine how much area I'll need to convert 180 feet (15 panels, 12 ft. each panel) into a circle.

Circumference (the number I assume you want) = Pi X D
So you need to know the diameter of the circle you wish to fill in for you to get to the number you would need. As your question stands there is not enough information for me to solve your equation.

Sorry for the late post.

The circumradias (measure from the center of the pen to each outside point where the panels will meet) will be 28.86 feet. The diameter will be 28.86 * 2, which = 57.72 feet (57' - 9").

The minimum area needed will be 2540.5 square feet. Note: This is the area comprising only the circle. As land is not made up of circles, you need a square piece of land for your pen measuring 57.72' x 57.72' (3332 square feet)
