I am trying to calculate a price for sheet glass sized 2134x3660 mm. The cost per sheet was quoted at $4.60 sqm. How much would the sheet cost?

There are 1000 mm in one meter, so:
2134 mm / 1000 = 2.134 m
3660 mm / 1000 = 3.660 m

2.134 m * 3.660 m = 7.81 m^2
7.81 m^2 * $4.60/m^2 = $35.93

Gallons in a well

Postby dslava » Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:40 am

I picked up an almost cubed aquarium tonight. Just need someone to check my math skills.

The tank size is 25" x 18" x 25". I have no idea how many gallons the tank holds, but I did the math and Im assuming the water volume capacity is 60.5 gallons.

25" x 18" x 25" = 11,250/1,728 = 60.5 gallons

Is that right?

25 in * 25 in * 18 in = 11,250 cubic inches. There are 231 cu.in. in 1 gallon, so: 11,250 cu.in. / 231 cu.in./gallon (US) = 48.7 gallons

Hello,

I have a similar calculation.

One of my suppliers is charging £36.50 for a 225mm x 170mm product. I need to know the cost per mm he is charging to find out his pricing guide?

Thanks in advance for any help
