Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

There are 12 troy oz in a troy pound, but neither unit is the same size as in the regular (avoirdupois) ounce or pound.

1 troy oz = 480 grains = 31.103481 g
1 troy lb = 5760 grains = 373.21477 g

regular (avoirdupois)
1 oz = 437.5 grains = 28.349523 g
1 lb = 7000 grains = 453.5924 g

I can't help on the metal purity vs. spot pricing.

I ONLY KNOW HOW TO DO IT BY USING GRAMS

YOU TAKE WHAT EVER GOLD IS AT, AT THAT TIME
DIVIDE IT BY 31.1 AND THAT IS WHAT 24KT IS

MULTIPLY IT BY .750 FOR 18KT, .518 FOR 14KT, AND .417 10KT

yes, except 14K is multiplied by .583
because 14 is 14 divided by 24 parts of gold
