Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

My car is how many GERBIL POWER?

Postby quizzicalteenager » Sat Mar 20, 2004 11:42 am

A friend and I had the grand idea to try to determine how many gerbil power our cars are. We thought 'if it is measured in horse power, why not just change the animal.' This posed a very real problem: what exactly is 1 hp and how would we test to see what 1 gp (gerbil power) equals? We lucked out... At http://www.landsharkoz.com/tt/tthp.htm , if you search for the word 'gerbil' you will see that according to them: Similarly a Watt is specified as 1 Newton-Metre per Second. (Approximately one gerbil-power). So we figured that if one watt is approximately 1 gp, then all you need to do is convert your car's hp and see how many watts it is. My car has 104400 gp if you were curious. Anyway, my friend and I suggest that this be added to the website becuase... well... its interesting to us. Thanks!

Cute. Now you'll need to come up with a primary and secondary standard. Once you get those, I'll try really hard to convince Sergy that he should include the unit...
