Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

Thank you for being with us and sorry for any inconveniences this could caused.

Again a common question that can't be answered without some more information.

You are trying to convert weigh into volume. in order to do this you need to know the specific gravity (what is the mass of a a specific volume of the substance)

For example, one cubic centimeter of water weighs one gram. One cubic centimeter of lead weighs 11.34 grams.

As a guess, I looked up the specific gravity for wheat flour, and found it to be 0.59 g/cc

Dividing 23 g by .59 g/cc gives us about 39 cc.

There are 0.20288 teaspoons in a gram, so:

39 cc x 0.2029 tsp/cc = 7.9 teaspoons

So, I'd guess about eight teaspoons, If, and only if the protean powder has the same density as wheat flour. I'm guessing that it would be heavier, so you'll probably have less than eight teaspoons. If its lighter, you'll have more.

If you can find out the density if the powder you're using, you can use the process I described above to figure it out more accurately.
