Convert Acceleration to Car Performance

Postby wigging » Wed Jun 19, 2013 7:11 am

Just wondering how the Acceleration section converts to the car performance without knowing more details about the specific vehicle. For example, 33 km/s2 = 0.00084175084 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. I tried the formula Time = Velocity / Acceleration but didn't get the same answer as your website, (100 km/h) * ( s2 / 33 km) * (h / 60 s) = 0.0505 s

One hour is 3600 seconds, not 60 seconds. So (100 km/h) * ( s2 / 33 km ) * ( h / 3600 s ) = 0.00084175084 seconds

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Just need to pay attention to my units better.
