Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

Thank you for being with us and sorry for any inconveniences this could caused.

Is this a triangular piece of sheet metal? If not, you either have too many measurements or you need to explain the measurements you gave.

What metal? Be aware that different metals and alloys have different densities.

If you want to measure the metal, you have to determine first the brand and substance of what you have bought. Based on the information you have given, I guess one piece will weigh one pound. But it still depends on the substance of the sheet metal you have.

Try to check this link. This is a metal weight calculator in which you can set the default of what type of metal you're weighing. Hope it can help you in solving weights.

So as to measure the weight of the substance in hand, first of all find the material with which it is made of. That is because quantitatively each material varies in weight per pound. Then, figure out the volume and multiply it with weight per pound value. This is considered to be the general procedure to determine weight.

These conversion values have been very informative and useful for my research. I really appreciate you for the time you spent in research and coming up with this table. I am researching on metals myself and these conversions are very helpful for me. Thank you!
