Forum rules
Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

Thank you for being with us and sorry for any inconveniences this could caused.

This site explains it fairly well: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-2081.html

I'm not an audiophobe but I know a little about math. The website http://iaudiophile.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-2081.html is relevant. If you know the bitrate (kbps) of the recording(s), you can calculate the MB per minute using the formula provided. (Finding the bitrate of the recording may be another story!)

The total recording in MB’s / MB/min will give you the playback time.

Borrowing the formula from the website, if the bitrate of the recording was 320 kbps, 320*15/2048 = 2.34375 megabytes per minute, so:
299.3 MB recording / 2.34375 MB/min= 127.70 minutes playback time,
195.1 MB recording / 2.34375 MB/min = 83.25 minutes playback time,
and so on.

Is that what you're looking for?
