hi, i need to know how to change cubic meters per second (flowing through a cylinder) into a velocity (m/s). any help would be great!

Compute the cross sectional area of the flow in square meters. Divide into the volumetric flow rate and get average velocity in m/s. The actual flow rate will be higher in the center and lower near the walls of the object. That variation is much more difficult to compute.
