Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

One is volume, one is weight, so you can't unless you identify what the substance is.

In the US both the states and Federal government have standards for how many pounds in a bushel of various crops. There is some variation in the number state to state. You have to search.

[b]Nurseries offer daffodil bulbs in bushels or half bushels. I have no idea how many bulbs this means or what the weight in pounds or cwt. would be. Can anyone help?

I have no idea what the density of bulbs is, but most crops seem to run roughly 50-60 pounds/bushel.

A bushel is 2150.42 cubic inches (legal definition and overly precise) or about 1.25 cubic feet.
