Parts per million implies a mixture, and if ppm as a unit is a logical choice, it is a small amount of A mixed in a lot of B. So you have to determine grams of A in a specified amount of mixture

You have to know whether the ppm ratio is calculated on the basis of weight, volume (for solids and liquids), or mole fraction.

If on the basis of weight, you just weigh out a certain amount of the mixture (in grams or be prepared to move decimal point), multiply by the ppm number.

If on the basis of volume, you'll need to know the density, and, if on the basis of mole fractions, you'll need to know molecular weight. If you want more specific help, a more specific problem statement would help.
