I am doing aschool class. Making imaginary landforms. The giant baby bottl is one. I also need to know how large a plexiglass piggybank would have to be to contain 905,000 3mm colored beads. your help was excellent would appreciate more. I will look at the Wkipedia site, math however is not my strong suit.

Please note I amended my other answer based on "random close packing" which probably describes your case more accurately.

Calculate volume of the beads
Vb = n*(pi/6)*d³ = 0.01279 m³ = 12.79 L

Assuming random close packing factor of 64%, you need about 12.79 L/0.64 = 20 L.
