full working out for conversion 1 MPa to 1 N/mm^2

A pascal is a newton/m^2
so 1 MPa = 10^6 N/m^2
but 1 m = 1000 mm, so 1 m^2 = 10^6 mm^2

So 1 Mpa = 10^6 N/m^2 x 1 m^2/ 10^6 mm^2 = 1 N/mm^2
