A board foot is 1/12 of a cubic foot (because it is 1 inch thick). So convert yo cubic feet then multiply by 12.

1 m³ x (1 ft/0.3048 m)³ = 35.3147 ft³
= 423.776 board feet.

If you work with lumber, especially in quantity, it's handy to know what a board foot is. As you now know there are 423.776 board feet in a cubic meter:

multiply cubic meters x 423.776 to get board feet.
divide board feet by 423.776 to get cubic meters.
