i have a fuel tank that is 5 feet long and has a 3.75 foot dia. how many gallons of diesel fuel will it hold?

Step 1
V = (pi/4)*d*d*h = 55.22 ft^3

Step 2
1 ft^3 = 1728 in^3
1 US gallon = 231 in^3
so 7.48 gallons/ft^3

Step 3
Multiply, 413 gallons
If these are exterior dimensions, it will actually be just slightly less as you need to use the interior dimensions.
