IF I HAD 1 GAL. OF ICE HOW MUCH WATER WOULD I HAVE IF IT MELTED?

Handbook of Chemistry & Physics gives the density of ice as 0.917 g/cc (unfortunately temperature is not given, and it does vary slightly with temp). When melted it will be very near 1.000 g/cc. Therefore you have 0.917 gal of water.
