What Does "Nm" Stand For?

Postby flyingvet26 » Mon Jul 26, 2004 12:53 pm

I am trying to figure out what "Nm" stands for. I've been looking at cars from other countries and wonder how Nm is converted to .lbs/ft. If you could help me it would be great. Thanks

Unfortunately the site doesn't appear to include Nm in the Torque section! (Someone may care to address this).
So to give you what you require: 1 lbf*ft = 1.356Nm or 1Nm = 0.737 lbf*ft
