I am not able to locate a conversion for gauge to inches, can you help?

There are different gauges for different materials. Some materials have multiple gauges. We need to know which gauge you're needing information on.

Yes, I have learned there is no standard unit conversion for gauge measurement. My experience is in the metal industry with a limited knowledge of gauge thickness for steel, however my current quest is to determine the thickness for "shrink wrap film" where suppliers have listed the thickness in gauge I.E, 50ga, 60ga, 100ga.
I am also seeking info on wire diameter, gun bore, and any other items measured in gauge.
