Linear feet to Pages

Linear feet to Pages

Postby Steve in TX » Tue Sep 19, 2006 8:18 pm

The Government uses the term "linear feet" to talk about how much filing they have. Is there an accepted conversion of "linear feet" to pages. I'm trying to get an idea on the time it would take to copy and scan a bunch of files.

Thanks for your help.

I don't know about "accepted factor;" it will vary with paper weight.

When I buy 20 lb computer paper, 5000 sheets per box, it is two 9" stacks, so roughly 5000 sheets = 18".

(there are wrappers so that may be very slightly off)
