How do I convert linear yards to square meters?

Tony:

You can't. Linear yards is a line that has no width.

To obtain a square (area) measurement, you need another dimension.

For example, 4 linear yards long by 4 linear yards wide = 16 square yards, which is equivelent to 13.38 square meters.
