found a great recipe but I am having a bit of trouble wiht the conversions. I have managed to figure out (if I am right) that 2/3cup is 6.2 fluid ounces, and that 8fluid ounces is 1 cup, but what is the difference between a fluid and a dry ounce?

The fluid ounce is a unit of volume and the dry ounce, or simply an ounce is a unit of weight.
