Assuming that 5/8" is the bore or intenal diameter of your pipe then its area is Pi x (5/16)Â² = 0.307 inÂ². Volume is hose length x area = 600 x 0.307 = 184.2 inÂ³.
If your hose is 5/8" outside diameter, I'd guess its bore is Â½", so area = Pi x (Â¼)Â² = 0.196 inÂ² & volume = 117.8 inÂ³.
