kg/cu.m.

1 cubic meter = 35.3 cubic feet

1 cubic meter of earth, loam, dry, excavated weighs 1.249 metric tons or 1249 kgs or 1249 / 35.3 = 35.4 kgs per cubic foot, or in this example, 28.26 cubic feet of dry loam = 1 Metric Ton
Earth, moist, excavated 1442 kgs = 28.3294 cuft = 1 Metric Ton
Earth, wet, excavated 1602 kgs = 22.0350 cuft = 1 MT
Earth, dense 2002 kgs = 17.6324 cuft = 1 MT
Earth, soft loose mud 1730 kgs = 20.4046 cuft = 1 MT
Earth, packed 1522 kgs = 23.1932 cuft = 1 MT
