Circular to linear please

Postby Adel » Fri Nov 04, 2005 1:51 am

Hi,
Does anyone know how to convert circular measures to linear ones? For example, degrees to linear? The problem is, of course, that 360 = 0.

Thanks very much!

If you mean you have something round and want to know what it would be if it were a straight line just take it times PI PI=3.14

so something 10 foot in diameter would take a rope 31.4 feet long to go around it.

Was that your question?
