First question is moles of what?

You have to know if it is an atom or molecular, and determine the atomic or molecular weight in atomic mass units. That number of grams is the mass of one mole of that substance. It is unique to the particular substance.

Millimoles are just 1/1000 of a mole.

5 mmol = 0.005 mol
0.005 mol x 178.23 g/mol =
(you do the math)

That's all there is to the process.
