volume to weight conversion - substance = carrots

Anyone have a volume to weight conversion for cooked carrots (in pickling brine in this instance). Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

According to the USDA (http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/), 1/2 cup of sliced carrots (cooked, boiled, drained, with salt) weighs 78 grams.
