Can anyone tell me how determine how many gallons of propane are in propane bottles that are sold by weight (10 lb, 20 lb)?

According to our weight to volume conversion page, the volume of 10 lbs of propane R-290 at 77F is 311 fl oz.

lpg weighs about 4#s to the gallon
