Please help with these conversions from mM to uM to nM. Also if I have a starting concentration of 10mM and a final of 500uM am I to divide 1/2 each time?

the base of your unit is the mole. the prefixes milli (m), micro, (µ) and nano (n) all have specific dimensions which are used every time.

milli (m) is 1x10^-3
micro (µ) is 1x10^-6
nano (n) is 1x10^-9
pico (p) is 1x10^-12

using that:
10 mM is 10 x 1x10^-3 or 1x10^-2 moles

500 µM is 500 x 1x10^-6 moles, or 5x10^-4
