If a recipe calls for 1 gallon of vinegar and 1 cup of salt but I only have 1 cup of vinegar, how much salt would I use?

1 gallon = 4 quarts
1 quart = 4 cups
so 1 gallon = 16 cups

1 cup of vinegar is 1/16 the recipe, so you need 1/16 of a cup of salt.
1 cup = 8 fl oz
2 Tablespoons = 1 fl oz
so 1 Tablespoon of salt = 1/16 cup.
